Gucci S/S 2012

Gucci

Milan Fashion Week Menswear
Spring/Summer 2012

For a S/S collection, it’s rather grey. I find myself drawn to the red coat over the more tame tones of the suits and jumpers, but as a whole it’s classic, masculine and as always, I’m loving the bow ties.

How to become Ryan Reynolds

Excerpt from Details Magazine

HOW TO BECOME RYAN REYNOLDS

Step one: Come out of nowhere (which is to say, Canada) and hustle your way into TV movies and a kids’ series despite discouragement from your working-class Vancouver family. Step two: Make the jump to the big screen (1993’s Ordinary Magic—he played Ganesh, a boy raised in India sent to live with family in Ontario. Sample dialogue: “They are not so very different, basketball and yoga”). Step three: Drive to L.A. from Vancouver “on the whimmiest of whims” in 1995 with an aspiring-actor friend and, after a few years, land a part on a sitcom (Two Guys and a Girl). And here’s where the steps pile up and blend together, until finally, two decades later, you’re People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive and the CGI-swaddled flying green lead of a summer blockbuster.

Ryan wears the likes of Calvin Klein Underwear, Gucci, Prada, Dior Homme and John Varvatos.

This Summer sees him as the Green Lantern in GREEN LANTERN. He’s currently filming SAFE HOUSE with Denzel Washington, Brendan Gleeson & Olivia Wilde, which is set for a February 2012 release.

Why we’re mad about January Jones

January Jones

Taking on the role of Mad Men’s Betty Draper was ‘a leap of faith’, the starlet – dazzling in a Diane Von Furstenberg dress and Chanel cuff – reveals, of her part in the now huge, award-winning hit. ‘I’d done films, but never TV,’ she explains. ‘I was hesitant because it was a five-year contract and there wasn’t really a role for Betty in the pilot.’

Yet, with a now burgeoning Hollywood career, the model-turned actress’s fearless tenacity has clearly paid off. ‘I think this is a really good moment for me, careerwise,’ she says, smouldering in colour pop Louis Vuitton. ‘Nothing ever came to me too easily or too fast, so I’ve been able to adjust. I’ve never got too bitter or jaded.’

On her dislike of interviews, the Diane von Furstenberg clad starlet says: ‘When I talk about myself, half the time I’m lying.’ And now? ‘Maybe. I do it because I’m bored of talking about myself, or I have nothing left to say, or I want to be private that day.’ But nonetheless, she’s very content. ‘Everybody writes that they think I’m so unhappy,’ she says. And that’s not the case? ‘Not at all. I’m in my own head. I’m doing things. Keeping things interesting.’

January can be seen in the upcoming X-Men prequel “X-Men: First Class”, playing the role of Emma Frost/White Queen, alongside James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Kevin Bacon & Jennifer Lawrence. If you haven’t already seen the trailer, check it out below…
