Today = the twenty second issue of SCOUTS SHOUTS, where I blog about my favourite things of the week. It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, but hopefully I’ll start doing them more regularly!

Crush of the week

Ms Azealia Banks

is too FLY. Filthy and fly. She is killing it as of late, not only did she recently sign to Universal Music, but she provided the sounds to Nicola Formichetti’s Mugler Menswear A/W 12 show at Paris (Menswear) Fashion Week a couple of days ago. And let’s be honest, 212 is still THE jam.

Video of the week

Lianne La Havas’ new video for her song FORGET is lovely. Mostly because the song is quite simply, such a TUNE. That hook is beautiful and her vocals melt. WOW. And the bass…okay I will go on and on, but that bass = yes please. I love me some BASS!

Film of the week

I loved IMMORTALS. Tarsem Singh created a stunning film. To quote him, ‘Basically, (the film is) Caravaggio meets Fight Club. It’s a really hardcore action film done in Renaissance painting style’. And it is. It’s quite wonderful. Yes the screenplay might not be the best…but the visual effects are sublime and I’m a real fan of myths & legends/am really into Greek mythology so it was right up my street…
