Song of the week
Sky Ferreira’s
new song is all sorts of awesome. It’s ghoulish, piano-punching pop. The track is off of her new EP GHOSTS, set to be released next month. Check it out below and enjoy…(note: does anyone else think the photo above looks like the Les Miserables poster?)

Film of the week
I saw Spiderman last month and absolutely loved it. Marc Webb (the genius behind (500) Days of Summer) has directed a fantastic film. It’s shot beautifully and wonderfully acted. The cast are so on point; but with the likes of Sally Field, Martin Sheen, Denis Leary and Rhys Ifans rounding out the cast alongside Stone and Garfield, you expect the best. As a film it satisfied my senses both sonically and visually. I was a little reluctant to see it, especially as the original trilogy of the Tobey Maguire-Spidey flicks aren’t that old (the first one came out 10 years ago), but I’m really glad that I did. I won’t even lie, the fact that Emma Stone is in it certainly helped to sway my decision because she’s a beaut and I love her. It’s so emotional though. Surprisingly so. I found myself surrounded by people crying their eyes out in the cinema. Literally weeping. It’s deep.
Emotionally epic.
Garfield is GREAT.
It’s most definitely worth a watch and I’m looking forward to seeing where this reboot is headed.
