Today = the ninth issue of SCOUTS SHOUTS, where I blog about my favourite song of the week, my album of the week, film of the week…you get the idea. Be sure to check back every Thursday to see what’s hot that week.
Album of the week
Arguably one of the best albums released in 2009, Animal Collective’s MERRIWEATHER POST PAVILION is mega and I had a good ol’jam/out of body skank to it this week. ‘My Girls’ is just different class. If you like trippy, slightly-left, electro, indie rock, this is perfection. ‘Brother Sport’ and ‘Bluish’ are other standout tracks.
I LOVE this video too.
Song of the week
I’ve been bumping TWO tunes all week, so I’m gonna give you a double dose this issue…First off, Beyoncé is killing it at the moment and I can’t stop spinning her song 1+1 off of her fourth studio album 4.
The second song of the week is old yes, but such a catchy-ass track.
Crush of the week

Aside from Michael Fassbender’s acting in X-Men: First Class, the best thing about it was…
January Jones

Film of the week
2002′s ROAD TO PERDITION is a modern-day classic, but I only got round to seeing it last month for the first time. It was incredible. From Sam Mendes’ wonderful direction to the beautiful and at times haunting Thomas Newman score (who happens to be one of my favourite composers – see ‘American Beauty’), this film offered it all. The screenplay is on point and the cinematography is Academy Award winning. The cast are phenomenal; Tom Hanks = brilliant as always in the lead role. I also thought Tyler Hoechlin, who played his son, was excellent — Random fact: he can now be seen in MTV’s new series ‘Teen Wolf’. To be honest with Hanks, Paul Newman, Stanley Tucci, Jude Law & Daniel Craig in one film, it is going to be pretty epic and this most certainly is.
Female model of the week
Raquel Zimmermann
is amazing. This Brazilian, blonde beauty is a force to be reckoned with. She kicks butt when it comes to editorial, but she is also one of the most versatile working models and has been captured by countless photographers, graced the pages of numerous magazines and fronted many campaigns because she is so fantastic. Enjoy some of my favourite photos of her…

Male model of the week
Jamie Dornan
The 6ft Irish model come singer come actor has been featured in advertisements for everything ranging from CK (alongside Eva Mendes) to Asprey with Keira Knightley, Zara, Armani Jeans and Banana Republic. He’s appeared on the pages of i-D Magazine, British Vogue & Wonderland Magazine and later this year, he can be seen in the US TV Show ‘Once Upon A Time’ which is set to debut on ABC and stars Jennifer Morrison and Ginnifer Goodwin. Peep the trailer below.
