The 65th Annual Tony Awards

The 65th Annual Tony Awards went down last night at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. The awards were hosted by the hilarious Neil Patrick Harris and the night saw numerous great performances from the casts of “How To Suceed In Business Without Really Trying”, “Anything Goes”, “Sister Act” and “Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark” (to name a few). “The Book Of Mormon” was the big winner, walking away with nine wins, including the gong for ‘Best Musical’ and ‘Best Direction of a Musical’.

Ellen Barkin was the winner of ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play’ and Sutton Foster won ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical’ (both pictured above). Frances McDormand won ‘Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play’ for her role in “Good People” and Nikki M James (pictured below), won ‘Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical’.

It was a good night for the Brits too. “War Horse” won several awards including ‘Best Direction of a Play’ & ‘Best Play’ and English actor Mark Rylance (pictured below) won ‘Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play’ for his role in Jerusalem.

John Larroquette won ‘Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical’, John Benjamin Hickey went home with the ‘Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play’ award and Norbert Leo Butz won ‘Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical’.

There was also a funny little ‘duel’ between host Harris and Hugh Jackman

It was a spectacular show.
