I thought I’d blogged this, but I guess I haven’t…a sneak peek/teaser trailer of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows (Part One) surfaced recently. Check it out below.
Set to drop November 2010, I really hope it’s a better offering than Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince which = a bit of a snooze fest. Had I not read the book, I would have thought it was really bad…I just think the films have developed in the shape of an upside-down parabola.
The first few were obviously good because they were new and different and it was strange seeing the books come to life. However, for me, “The Prisoner of Azkaban”, directed by Alfonso Cuarón = amazing. Probably my favourite film and favourite book out of them all….then The Goblet Of Fire = a mess and from then on I’m sad to say I haven’t really enjoyed the more recent film installments of the Potter Franchise. They’re by no means BAD films, but just not as good as they could be….I say they should have used Cuarón more. He brought a darkness, that wasn’t too dark, to a franchise that needs that sinister element. It can’t be too lovey-dovey, blah blah…but hey, that’s just my opinion. I guess ultimately it doesn’t matter as the studio are laughing all the way to the bank with the $934 million + the last film grossed worldwide…WOW.
Anyway for all of you who ARE anticipating the last two films, here are two snaps from Part One…
